1. Document Privacy Guarantee

TellPDF operates under a strict privacy-first model: your document files are never uploaded to our servers.

All file modifications, rendering, layout calculations, signing, page adjustments, and text extractions are executed locally inside your web browser using WebAssembly binaries. Your files remain entirely on your local machine.

2. AI Integration and API Processing

When using the conversational AI chat interface to ask questions about your documents, text extracted from the document is sent via a secure serverless API proxy (`/api/*`) to Google Gemini API models.

No document files are sent to the cloud. Only the relevant text content is transmitted to fulfill your specific questions or requests.

3. Cookies and Storage

We use your browser's local storage to cache settings, active workspaces, and session history to improve usability. If you log in via Supabase, we store basic authentication cookies required to keep your account session secure.
